【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversstructuralclayload-bearingfacingtile.Structuralfacingtilearetiledesignedforuseininteriorandexteriorunplasteredwallsandpartitionsofbuildings.1.2Thepropertyrequirementsofthisspecificationapplyatthetimeofpurchase.Theuseofresultsfromtestingoftileextractedfrommasonrystructuresfordeterminingconformanceornonconformancetothepropertyrequirements(Section6and7)ofthisstandardisbeyondthescopeofthisspecification.1.3Tilecoveredbythisspecificationaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringsubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthisspecification.(SeefiringandfiredbondinTerminologyC1232.)1.4Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
